Potter Mania!

I neglected to mention the fact in earlier posts that my wife, Shannon, and I attended a release party for The Half-blood Prince at the big Barnes and Noble here in town, this past Friday evening. How I wish I had my digital camera a day earlier. I would recommend to anyone to go to the release of the 7th book whenever Mrs. Rowling gets around to finishing off the series, because it is something that you have to expirence first hand.

Something you must know is that one of our hobbies when we are in public is to do some serious people watching. People watching at one of these events is not quite as good as say, the State Fair or an amusement park, but it's up there. You have costumes and strange people galore. I'm not saying that if you attend these things you are strange, but any normal people knows who those people are; and they are fun to watch.

  • I had to read this entry twice to realize that it wasn't an imcomplete thought. What exactly did you see there that was so interesting?

  • What was so interesting? People. People are usually interesting enough, but you throw them into a situation with a common theme, and they just go nuts.
